Description: Cloud computing is really hot.  But what is it?  And what is it not?  That’s just what the panel of practitioners will reveal as they answer your questions about the many aspects of Cloud Computing.  They will seek to dispel the mist and maybe a few myths so we can all see more clearly in the cloud.

Program: Working on a TSP Team

New Location: Clark State University

Description: This program will describe the Team Software Process (TSP) from the perspective of a project team. The presentation will include examples and case studies to illustrate the processes, practices, methods, measures and tools of the TSP.

TSP is a software development method. It was designed to help software teams manage their work and achieve best performance without the typical "death march" ending. TSP has helped projects and organizations achieve new levels of performance in terms of cost, schedule and quality. TSP was ranked as the #1 best software engineering practice for medium and large systems by Capers Jones in his latest book, Software Engineering Best Practices.

Topics to be covered include:

Speaker: Jim Over has been with the Software Engineering Institute since 1987. He is the manager of the TSP Initiative and a senior member of the technical staff for the Software Engineering Process Management Program. He had led SEI's TSP Initiative since its inception, transitioning the TSP into orgranizations in the United States and abroad.
